My Background and History of Mysa Heating

I’m Simon Darnton and I’m the founder of Mysa Heating. I set up Mysa Heating Ltd during one of the COVID-19 lockdowns in 2020 and became a Gas Safe Registered Company in July 2022.

I was motivated to start Mysa Heating while building my own house. This is because I couldn’t find anyone locally to design and install an efficient heating system for a heat pump aligned with what I wanted.

So I set off to learn heating system design and installed my own system in my new home.

On this journey, I have successfully complete Gas Safe and OFTEC training for Oil and MCS certification.

I have gained experience running my Gas Safe Registered Heating business before finally moving into Heat Pumps. For Heat Pumps I have successfully completed the industry required training and certification for both Air Source Heat Pump system design and installation as well as Heat Geek Mastery.

Prior History

I hold a Masters Degree in Psychological Coaching and worked in the field of psychology for many years. I put this part of my carrier on hold to build a house myself, learning all the trades myself, including the technical design and thermal performance of buildings.

Prior to this I worked my way up the career ladder in Deloitte where I reached senior management level, running a team and a couple of service lines. This part of my career was unfortunately halted when I acquired a balance disorder, which requires me to be physically active at work.

Due to my experience, I bring a number of important qualities that are unusual in this industry, and add significant strength to Mysa Heating’s services.
